Free Accordion Music Websites I recommend you check out the following sites for new and free accordion music! or 8notes.com/accordion Try 'em! You'll like 'em! Friends, there is not much happening domestically at this time, except for the ATG and AAA meetings. So, what do we do? We support our local Accordion Club. This is where more than two, or more, encourage and promote the accordion. The accordion clubs have been a great help in keeping the accordion alive, but they, like everything, need support. What can you do? Our next meeting is on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 3:30 PM. Make plans today to attend.

Meeting minutes
Sunday, June 9, 2024
There were ten members and two guests attending.
The Oklahoma Accordion Club held a meeting on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Our venue was the music room at Messiah Lutheran Church in OKC. Before the meeting Anne Lopez and Secretary Lois Roth warmed up with a few favorite songs. aggie Abel called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM. We recited The Pledge of Allegiance and sang a verse of "America the Beautiful." Anne told us of her cousin's recent vacation in France. She found a cross and grave near Normandy that might be that of a family member. Myke Dixon has been searching for a chord organ in good condition. He finally found one in Kansas. Anne read aloud a note from Larry Gering's son Chris. He thanked the club for providing accordion music before Larry's funeral April 7. He enclosed $100 honorarium for our club. VP/Treasurer Ron Shearon gave us a message from Past Prez Dick Albreski. He says "Hi" and would like to be with us but was not feeling well. We were all happy to have past VP Karen West back with us today after several months recovery from surgery. The music began with Anne and Lois performing three country/western tunes: "Tennessee Waltz," "San Antonio Rose," and "Waltz Across Texas." The theme continued with their singalong: "Hey Good Lookin," "Red River Valley," "Deep in the Heart of Texas," and "Home on the Range." Member Frank Boyd projected the words to each song on the wall. Anne demonstrated several ways to make a song more interesting by changing reeds or octave as you repeat the song. Anne and Lois played "The Anniversary Song" to celebrate Maggie and Frank's first wedding anniversary. Maggie and Frank enjoyed a dance together. The meeting concluded with Myke Dixon joining Anne and Lois for a jam session. They played a variety of songs. Anne performed her special version of "Blue Moon." The meeting was adjourned. Our next meeting will be Sunday, July 14, at the usual time and place. Join us for a few hours of music and fun!
