In Dublin's heart, when March arrives, A joyful tune begins to rise. With nimble hands and sparkling eyes, We lift our squeezeboxes to the skies. Accordions dance, lively and bright, Spilling green melodies into the night. Folks stomp their feet, laugh and sway, To sweet shamrock songs on St. Patrick's Day. Each note is a wish, each chord a cheer, Bringing friends and family near— For as long as our music fills the air, The spirit of Ireland is always there! Couldn't help admiring the beautiful Castiglione that Lucy played last month!
Mark those calendars! — Dick Albreski

Meeting minutes
Valentine celebration · Sunday, February 8, 2026
Two guests and fourteen members attended. Three attendees were on Zoom.
The Oklahoma Accordion Club met on Sunday, February 8, for a Valentine celebration. President Maggie Abel called the meeting to order at 3:30 pm and welcomed everyone. We recited The Pledge of Allegiance and sang "America The Beautiful." We also enjoyed a new duo — Milo Shedeck on clarinet and his wife Lucy Shedeck on accordion. Their songs included "Tinker Polka" and "Snow Waltz." Milo had a B-flat clarinet and was transposing the music as he played. We also had a singalong of several love songs whose lyrics Frank Boyd projected on the wall. Dick reminded us about the Accordion Conference in March. The hotel rooms have kitchenettes this year, and two bands will perform at the Saturday night banquet. The meeting was adjourned. As typical, there was jamming before and after the meeting. We'll meet again Sunday March 8 at 3:30 pm. Join us for a wee bit of Irish music! Daylight Saving begins that day so don't be late!
Performers: Ron Shearon, Maggie Abel, Shayla Chavis-Smith, Dick Albreski, Anne Lopez, Lois Roth, Milo Shedeck, Lucy Shedeck
