There were no volunteers for the committee.
Lois Roth Minutes Oklahoma Accordion Club November 8, 2009 • ill Henson called the meeting to order. He apologized for missing the October meeting, and thanked Jimmie Woolly for presiding. • Bill read a note from the Yukon Czech Hall, thanking the OAC orchestra for performing at the Polka Picnic. • Bob Mansfield, club historian, has the music that has been given or contributed to the club, but it is not in good order. The Board recommends that the music be disposed of. In the future, if a member wants a particular piece, they may talk to Bob, Dan Orza, or Dick Albreski, who all have extensive libraries of music. Bob will maintain articles about the accordion and the OAC. • Diana Richard has been working on our club's website, and it is up and looks great. The URL is http://www.okaccordions.com. A calendar of club events is included on the site. Thanks to Diana and her husband for their hard work. • The Christmas party will be held on December 5, at the Czech Hall in Yukon, 2:30-5:30 pm. The party will take the place of the December meeting. We will have to clean up at the end. The club will provide chicken and salads; members are asked to bring cookies or candy. Members are allowed to bring one guest each; there will be a $5 charge for additional guests. Members are also asked to bring gloves, scarves, caps, socks, etc., for a charity. • An entertainment committee was established for the party and is headed up by Beth Henson. If anyone has ideas for the party, they should contact Beth. • Bob Mansfield performed "Sweetly," "Hearth Tango," "If It Takes Forever," "All My Love," and "Your Baby Blues." • Anne Lopez performed "Vaya Con Dios," "Back in the Saddle Again," "Happy Trails to You," and other Western tunes. • Members participated in jamming immediately following the meeting. • Richard Butricks noted that he and June will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on November 24. Congratulations!
