!! October 2010! The Oklahoma Squeezins September Meeting Beth Henson Minutes Oklahoma Accordion Club September 12, 2010 • • ill Henson called the meeting to order. • Dick Albreski introduced his friends, Nick Ballarini and Greg Klugiewicz, who drove to Oklahoma City from Texas for the meeting. • Greg gave an overview of the 2011 National Accordion Association meeting that will be held in Dallas, Texas, March 10-12, 2011. He invited everyone to participate. • Nick gave a mini-concert and played a variety of music, some of which included Mexican, Italian, Western, and Big Band. He played a special piece, the Sesame Street theme song, for Roland Lohmann's two-year-old granddaughter Avery. Club members and guests thoroughly enjoyed listening to this very talented and entertaining artist. • Following the concert, Nick answered questions and demonstrated some of the many beautiful Roland accordions he brought with him. • Roland Lohmann donated $28 to the club treasury from the sales of homemade root beer. For every bottle sold to club members, he will donate $4. If the bottle is returned to him, the donation will increase. He provided root beer floats to the membership for snacks - it was delicious.
