There were 20 members and one guest present.

OAC meeting. This will be our dress rehearsal. Anyone going to the NAA on March 15 who would like to play in the Recreational Band, please contact me ASAP. There will be local rehearsals before the Dallas event. I feel this will be the OAC year. Knowing the elected officers and their dedication to the accordion and our Club, I see big things in the horizon. Please continue to support our Club through your membership. Q. What do a true music lover and an accordionist have in common? A. Absolutely nothing. Q. What do you get when you toss an accordion off a tall building? A. Applause. Q. An introductory course on map folding.

!! February 2012! The Oklahoma Squeezins OAC MINUTES January 8, 2012 Meeting • Dick Albreski called the first meeting of the new year to order. • The 2012 officers were presented: hil Scibelli, Treasurer Evie Albreski, Librarian Diana Richard, and Secretary Lois Roth. Other appointees are: Hospitality Director Anne Lopez, Orchestra Director Dan Orza, and Newsletter Editor Frank Gesinski. • Dick read aloud Phil's letter from the January 2012 newsletter concerning the resignation of liver Delaney. • Secretary's report: The minutes from the last (November 2011) meeting are in the newsletter. • Treasurer's report: The bank balance is $250.99. The next report will include the annual dues that are in the process of being collected. • Librarian's report: We have archives!! • The club needs a vice president. Dick Albreski volunteered to run for that office. He was nominated and elected. • Dick reminded us that the Club's red accordion is on display and is for sale. New business followed: • Accordion teachers should inform Lois Roth if they have young students who want to play in the Youth Band at the Dallas Convention in March. • We were reminded that the Club's elected officers are: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and librarian. This group's purpose is to take care of everyday OAC business. • A newly elected Board of Directors will now be responsible for reviewing and correcting the apparent discrepancies in the Club's bylaws, and for addressing any other OAC problems that may arise. • After a period of discussion, four members were nominated and elected to the new Board of Directors. They are Dick Albreski, Bob Mansfield, Jackie Mashore, and Dan Orza. • Dick told us that Greg Klugiewicz's mother passed away recently. Greg is the chairman of the National Accordion Convention. • We gave a round of applause for Jackie Mashore -- Welcome back, Jackie! • The Club was reminded that Anne Lopez will no longer mail birthday cards to members. She will continue to send special cards (get well, condolence, etc.). Please call her if you know of any member in need of a card. • Bob Mansfield moved that the meeting be adjourned. • Dick Albreski gave us a very interesting and educational workshop about accordion reeds and reed blocks. Thank you, Dick! • Then it was Music Time! - Anne Lopez performed "April in Portugal," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Arrivederci Roma," and "The Carioca." - Roland Lohmann played and sang "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now" and "C'est Manifique." - Renato Gladio performed several numbers, including "Under Paris Skies" and "Two Guitars." - Bob Mansfield concluded the solos with "Valse Caprice" and "Zug Farvus." - The orchestra ended the music program with "Spanish Eyes" and a rousing "Auld Lang Syne." Happy New Year everybody!! A final note: The red accordion has been sold!

Attendance is free for guests. See Membership for optional dues.
