!! May 2012! The Oklahoma Squeezins OAC Minutes April 15, 2012 ick Albreski called the meeting to order. • The club treasury balance is $1,178.66. • Our May meeting will be on the third Sunday, because the second Sunday is Mother's Day. The meeting date is May 20. We will celebrate National Accordion Month -- bring your accordions for a big afternoon of music! • The June meeting will be our annual picnic. Dan Orza and Barbara Duer are the planning committee. Date, time, place, and menu are being considered --- stay tuned! • Robbie Rattan received his membership badge. Welcome, Robbie! • Then it was music time. - Dick presented The Mystery Guest, Lucas Ross. He and Dick played "Country Gardens" - Barbara Duer and Dick played "My Angel Polka" and "Jalousie Tango" - Bob Mansfield performed four pieces: o "The Lord's Word" (a gospel song composed by Bob) o "Shirale" o "Rumanian Hora and Bulgar" o "Domino and Tango 1" - Maggie Abel and Dick played "Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes." • A Happy Birthday salute to Milo from Dick and all of us! • The finale was a Grand Jam Session. The orchestra (Dan, Karen, and Lois) and six more accordionists (Barbara Duer, Beth Henson, Lucas Ross, Robbie Rattan, Dick Albreski, and Bob Mansfield) had fun with "Easter Parade," "April Showers," "Rubber Duckie," and several other favorites.
