Monthly Meeting Fifteen members attended. Pop and refreshments were available. Bob Mansfield conducted the meeting in ick Albreski's absence. The meeting's purpose today was to rehearse for the free August 11 concert the Club will present at 2:30 p.m. in the Norman Train Depot. Member Roland Lohmann's candy store, Good Things, will provide treats for the reception following the concert. TV personality Lucas Ross will play and emcee. Those rehearsing included: The Accordionaires (OAC's "show band") played "La Cumparsita," "The Liechtensteiner Polka," and "Lady of Spain." Members are Director Dan Orza, Lois Roth, Karen West, John Buchanan, and Maggie Abel. Anne Lopez on accordion and Barbara Duer on banjo played a "Pizza Medley" such as might be played at Shakey's Pizza Parlor restaurants. The medley included: - "Yessir, That's My Baby" - "Has Anybody Seen My Gal" - "I'm Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover" - "Chinatown" Anne played "Tarantella Napoletana." Barbara played "Chosjajka" and "The Cossack Dance" on accordion. She was accompanied by Steve Scott, Maggie Abel, Dan Orza, Janet Haskins, and John Buchanan on homemade wooden clackers. Tom Phillips played "When The Saints Go Marching In." John Buchanan played "Accordion Jump" and "The Swedish Polka." At the concert, Dick Albreski will accompany John. Dan Orza played "El Cumbanchero" and "Glowworm." Steve Scott and Maggie Abel played "Over The Waves" from Book 2. Bob Mansfield played "Kale Mazel Tov," "Choson Kale Mazel Tov," and "Frailach." Additional members who were not present today will also perform at the August concert.
