Page 4 July 2015 The Oklahoma Squeezins Oklahoma Accordion Club June 13, 2015 Meeting Club arbara Duer welcomed 28 members and three guests to the June meeting. • Historian Karen West named a number of periodicals she successfully contacted to advertise the Club's August concert. • Past ick Albreski gave a presentation of the Club's history to celebrate its fifteenth year of operation. • Members were encouraged to play the songs today that they will play in the August concert. • The Accordionaires (director Dan Orza, with Lois Roth, Karen West, Barbara Duer, and Maggie Abel), along with Annette Zongker-Smith, Mary Hojem, and Janet Haskin, played “Adios Muchachos” and “Comrades March.” • Vice President Tom Phillips played "Amazing Grace." • The Anfangers Band (Tom, Wayne Turgeon, Myke Dixon, Rusty Dolton, Steven Scott, and Maggie Abel) played "Echo Waltz." • Wayne played “Golden Slippers,” Maggie played “Soldiers Joy,” and Steven played "Fast Train." • T. Z. Wright played a medley of "St. Anne's Reel," "Liberty," and "Ragtime Annie," followed by "A Matter of Policy." • Karen played "I Think I'm Going Out of My Head," and Rusty played "Over the Waves." • Dick played backup for Barbara as she played "Calliope Rag" and "Boum Musette." • Bob Mansfield, Roland Lohmann, Rod Murrow, and George Secor played: - "Cosi Cosa" - "Luci e Ombre" - "Louisiana Blues" - "Free Bob Polka" - Medley of "Zug Farvus" and "Meine Sieben Gute Yohr" • Bob played: - "Tosca Waltz" • George played: - "Brahms Hungarian Dance #5" - "Penthouse Serenade" - "Fugue" • A George and Bob duet: - "Gopak" by Mussorgsky One more meeting to practice before the annual concert!
