December 11, 2016 Club arbara Duer called the meeting to order, welcoming • The dues for the coming year will be $20 per member, plus $10 for additional family members. • Voting for the new treasurer took place, and Sil Lopez will assume those duties in January, filling the shoes of outgoing Treasurer Milo Shedeck. • The Youth Band played under the direction of past ick Albreski. • "Silent Night" by Matthew Medley • "Jolly Old Saint Nick" by Laz Elliott • "Batter Up" by Asher Elliott • "Miami Beach Rumba" by Job Elliott • The entire ensemble concluded with Dick's "This is Our Song for You." • An almost endless raffle, and an auction which featured a nice leather jacket, took place using items donated by Club members, proceeds to go to support the youth members. Vice-president Tom Phillips ably conducted the proceedings. • The Oklahoma Accordion Club band played a Christmas medley including "The Chipmunk Song" (Alvin!) and "Jingle Bell Rock." Participants included Annette Zongker, Toni Paulding, Lou Le Brun, Janet Haskin, Barbara Duer, T. Z. Wright, and Maggie Abel. • T. Z. Wright played several pieces, including the Irish "Morrison's Jig" and the beautiful "The Star." • Anne Lopez and Lois Roth played "White Christmas" and "Silent Night." • Lou Le Brun played an historic and rarely heard version of "Stormy Weather." • Janet Haskin closed the meeting with "Carol of the Bells." • Maggie Abel Maggie Abel Advertisements
