The Oklahoma Squeezins August 2020 Page 7 Advertisement July Zoom Meeting Oklahoma Accordion Club Zoom Online Meeting Minutes July 12, 2020 The meeting was called to order at 3:30 pm by President Maggie Abel. Eight members and one guest attended. • Ron Shearon began the music with “Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes.” Maggie added harmony to the second verse. • Frank Gesinski commented that the harmony was louder than the melody. He suggested experimenting with different reed sets. He added a great idea -- the player can record himself, and then play a duet with the recording. • Frank performed an original composition: “The Happiness Polka.” • Anne Lopez played “Rain, Rain Polka” (“Prsi Prsi”). She told us that if you have Alexa, you can enjoy polka and waltz music on channel WRJQ Old Time Music. • Frank said he will play his version of “Rain, Rain Polka” for us at a future meeting. • Toni Paulding told us that her daughter, Julie, had visited Evie Albreski in the hospital. • Frank played “Yours,” with a Latin beat. • Maggie will check with the church about having our August 9 meeting in the building. • There will be an Eagle Scout Court of Honor held in Lawton for Alex Rockwood.
