July 11, 2021 The Oklahoma Accordion Club met on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the usual venue. Thirteen members and two guests attended in person. One additional member and one additional guest attended via Zoom. aggie Abel called the meeting to order at 3:35 pm. She introduced all those present. She said that Frank Gesinski couldn't be with us because his family was celebrating his 80th birthday. •Ron Shearon led the group in reciting the "Pledge of Allegiance." •Barbara Yuill and Dick Albreski began the music program with "Autumn Leaves," followed by a new song composed by Dick called "Waltz for Barbie." •Dick soloed with "All of Me," and "I Love Paris" with a boogie beat. •Ron played "Over The Waves" and "Neapolitan Nights." •Anne Lopez and Lois Roth entertained the group with a variety of songs, including: "America The Beautiful," "Tavern Waltz" ("Erika"), "Elmer's Tune," and "Play A Simple Melody." •Lou LeBrun attended on Zoom. She performed "Accordeon Samba," and a Sigmund Romberg favorite, "Softly, as in a Morning Sunrise." The meeting adjourned at 4:30 pm. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, August 8.
